Belonging to the corundum family, sapphires are a durable and versatile choice for an engagement ring. It is most well known for its velvety blue hues, but it also comes in a vast array of the other colours of the rainbow. A full list of sapphire characteristics and properties can be found here.

Rating at 9 on the Mohs scale, rubies are excellent hard wearing choices for engagement rings. The origin of the Moissanite is a tale of fallen stars, exploration and discovery and a century long scientific endeavour.
