Platinum diamond and ruby butterfly engagement ring – Ring of the Week – Portfolio

For this week's 'Ring of the Week' project, our client came to us with a truly bespoke engagement ring request. This platinum multi-stone butterfly was inspired by another ring featured on our website. The body of the butterfly is made from bezel set rubies. The four claw set marquise and pear shaped white diamonds create the butterfly wings. The delicate antenna have been meticulously designed and created to join the setting of the wings so there are no snag points. These are all set upon a cathedral shank, which allows for a wedding band to sit flush against the ring shank. This creates the opportunity for the butterfly to 'sit' on top of the wedding band.
