Bejewelled diamond and gemstone birthday ring

This week for our 'Ring of the Week' we are featuring this stunning, unique birthday ring. Our client came with a very specific design brief and a strong visual idea of what he wanted; by the end of the consultation he had developed two design ideas that he loved. After some deliberation, this design was the chosen one. In the centre of this beautiful ring a diamond is suspended by the tension set jewelled band, which tapers and encases a line of gemstones and diamonds which have been flush set in the shoulders to create a smooth, tactile finish. This compliments the centre diamond beautifully creating a truly bespoke piece of jewellery. The three gemstones represent the couples children. A ruby which is the birthstone of July; a gorgeous pale aquamarine, birthstone of March; and a blue sapphire, birthstone of September.  The diamonds in the band are evenly spaced to create sparkles that represent each of the couples grandchildren. From the through view the band has height towards the top to accommodate the depth of the diamond. This also allows  enough depth for the stones in the band to be set without touching the finger rail. When worn on the hand, the height is a great way to emphasise the centre stone.
